School Counseling
Instructor: Ms. Cottle-Makhene, Ms. Freybler

Our school counseling program has been officially recognized by the American School Counselor Association for delivering a comprehensive, developmental program that is aligned with the National Model ® and is organized to ensure accountability. Our counselors collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, and support staff to help ensure success for every student. Data is obtained from needs assessments, pre and post tests, and surveys. Programs are analyzed for effectiveness and decisions are made on how best to provide students with knowledge and skills in the areas of career, academic, and personal/social development.

Bull Run Middle School Music Program

Calling all Bull Run rising 6th grade students!

Mr. Malechek the Bull Run band director is holding five evening instrument fitting sessions for rising 6th grade band students. These sessions will allow you to try out all of the different band instruments, and pick an instrument that they will enjoy and help ensure your success in band.

Students can choose from such exciting instruments as tuba, trombone, baritone, clarinet, flute, or percussion. Please plan to come to one of our fitting sessions to select an instrument if you have signed up for band class in 6th grade. Students who have not signed up for band, but who are interested in trying the band instruments are also welcome to attend! Students do not need to have any previous experience in band to join, and classes are held during the regular school day. Band is an exciting and fun way to learn an instrument, perform new music and make new friends in middle school! Don't miss out on the fun!

Sessions will be held on the following evenings:

May 2nd May 3rd May 9th May 17th June 7th

All sessions will be held from 6:30-8:30 PM in the Bull Run Middle School Band Room. Please feel free to contact Mr. Malechek at malechmc@pwcs.edu with any questions.
